A member of the public has spotted what they believe to be a ‘big cat’ when walking in a Herefordshire village.

In a post on social media, Peter said:

“Walked along the river path at Breinton earlier (Sunday).

“Got to a quiet part not far from the church and both myself and the Mrs are absolutely convinced we saw a big cat.

“A large black “puma” like cat, it was at the size of a Shetland pony.

“We saw it move across the path and into the bushes.

“We were about 100 metres away and we moved closer and when we got into the area that we saw it, we could hear it breaking branches and moving through undergrowth.

“Sadly didn’t taken a photo. Just wondering if anyone else has had sightings of big cats in that area?

“We were both absolutely gobsmacked.”
