Motorists are being warned to expect major disruption, with a major route closed for 33 weeks from September.
Worcestershire County Council is warning that the A449 (Wells Road) into Malvern will be closed from 8th September 2025 to 24th April 2026.
Information shared by Worcestershire County Council said:
‘Closure of carriageway on Wells Road for rebuilding a collapsed retaining.
‘Works include demolition of the damaged retaining wall, excavation and construction works. Road resurfacing will follow.
‘Traffic management will be in place throughout the works.’
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and to use an alternative route.
