Annabel Radbourne from Hereford will be taking on the challenge of climbing the top of Mount Kilimanjaro later this year.

She told Your Herefordshire

“This October, I’ll be travelling to Tanzania to take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, in support of St Michael’s Hospice.

St Michael’s is a vital charity here in Herefordshire, offering specialist care and support to people living with terminal illness. It’s a cause close to my heart, as they cared wonderfully for my Grandpa before he passed away at the Hospice in 2013.

At Radbournes, St Michael’s Hospice has been our chosen charity for over a decade. We’re proud to sponsor their annual Open Gardens programme and have helped raise more than £170,000 to date. We’ve also supported the development of the beautiful gardens at the hospice in Bartestree, donating materials to help create a peaceful, restorative space for the patients, their families, and staff members.

For those who know me, you’ll know I love a challenge… climbing Kilimanjaro is certainly that. It’s an incredible opportunity to push myself while raising funds for a cause that means a great deal to me personally and to our team at Radbournes.

Thank you for your support”
