West Mercia Police have been informed of a number of concerning incidents at strawberry sites in Herefordshire.
The incidents have occurred in the Withington area of the county.
A spokesperson for Freshfields, who have sites in Withington, said:
“It with great disappointment that we have had to inform the police about numerous incidents at our strawberry sites in Withington.
“Police have now been informed of the increased vandalism occurring on the freshfields strawberry sites.
“Due to the escalating nature of these incidents, including tampering with irrigation, destroying and stealing fruit, setting fires as well as general destruction of property.
“It has become a genuine danger to both people and possession, we have had no choice but to involve the police, increase cctv and introduce monitoring checks.
