The community of Ledbury has been left in shock following the sudden death of local businessman Mark Gardner, aged 61 years.
He died unexpectedly/suddenly when he arrived in Thailand on 1st July.
Mark and his wife Rung have family there.
His daughter Lian told Your Herefordshire:
“We are all deeply saddened and shocked by his passing.
“His funeral has already taken place in Thailand, but we are planning a memorial so UK family and friends can celebrate his life.
“This will be Monday 28th July at 12pm at The Cider Barn, Lyne Down Organics, Lyne Down, Much Marcle HR8 2NT
“My Dad was a hoarder of many things, in particular his collection of cider which he donated to the cider barn a few years back.
“We thought it fitting to commemorate him here with his cider!
“He was a true character and very caring. Always late to everything and loved a cup of tea and biscuits!! He was the most amazing husband, Dad and Grandad. He will be very missed.
“He and his wife Rung enjoyed running the Blue Orchid Thai restaurant in Ledbury.”
