Shocking figures show that a huge number of motorists have been recorded as travelling at more than 70mph through a 40mph zone in a Herefordshire village.
The data, shared by Withington Parish Council, shows that between 29th September 2024 and 30th May 2025, a total of 1,706 motorists were recorded as travelling at 71mlh on a stretch of the A4103 (Hereford to Worcester Road).

“Those traveling along the A4103 towards the garden centre may have seen the SID (Speed indicator device)..
“One of your councillors recently downloaded the data. The details are in the attached photo.
“These results are from the 29th September 2024 to 30th May 2025.
“The device may only show your speed one way, but it tracks the traffic both ways. Incoming is towards Hereford, Outgoing towards Withington.”
