West Mercia Police have provided an update on an incident that occurred in Hereford earlier today.
A police presence was seen by members of the public at just before midday on Widemarsh Street in Hereford.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“Officers detained and arrested a man on suspicion of escaping lawful custody around 11.40am today (Thursday 10 July) on Widemarsh Street in Hereford.
“He is currently in police custody.”
