Motorists are being advised to plan ahead, with a bridge that is used by thousands of motorists daily in Herefordshire, set to close for six weeks.
Mordiford Bridge will be closed for six weeks, from 21st July. The closure will be in place 24 hours a day.
This closure is likely to cause delays and an increased number of vehicles using alternative routes, such as the A438 (Ledbury Road) and the A49 through Hereford.
The work is being carried out during the school holidays in an attempt to minimise disruption.
The closure will lead to a significant diversion for residents living in the Hampton Bishop area, attempting to access Mordiford, Fownhope and Holme Lacy.
Resurfacing work will also be taking place on the B4324 near Fownhope over the coming weeks.
