Man arrested following firearms incident in Hereford
A man was arrested in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 1 July) for being in possession of two firearms.
Officers were called to a property on West Street in Hereford around 12.30am this morning (Tuesday 1 July) after a report was received that a man had barricaded himself inside and was armed with two guns.
No one else was inside the address.
Armed officers and negotiators attended the scene and gained entry around 1.55am and recovered two air pistols.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man, aged 48, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, aggravated burglary, threats to kill and public order offences.
He is currently in police custody.
