Former Hereford FC defender Jamie Grimes has cut his trademark long hair to raise money for Hereford based charity The Little Princess trust. Grimes commented on X (Formerly Twitter) “I have donated my hair to be made into a wig for children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
34 year old Grimes signed for Hereford during the 2020/2021 Covid cancelled season. He was part of the Hereford team that reached Wembley in the FA Trophy final that campaign.
Grimes left to join then National League side Chesterfield in June 2021. He is the current club captain at the Spireites who currently are in EFL League Two and reached the play offs last season.
