Following his years of dedication to serving the fabulous visitors to Gloucester Quays, Steffan (Stephen) will sadly no longer be making and flipping his Welsh cakes.

A tough decision, it’s been a passion, and he has loved it for over 16 years, rain, wind, and shine!
His stories and banter have been synonymous to his brilliant Welsh cakes always sold at just £1. Visitors far and wide have enjoyed them for years, many travelling just to see him.
We have been lucky enough to have had Steffan with us on all our events over the last six years at Gloucester Quays, often doing extra weekends in between and loving it!
Steffan at his brilliant age of 70 has now retired and is planning some well earnt time with his fantastic family, wife, kids, and grandchildren. He also has plans for some travelling with lots of places on his list.
We would really love you to join us to show our huge appreciation to Steffan (Stephen) he will be missed by our team, by the Gloucester Quays team, all the stall holders we work with, local businesses and I am sure by so many visitors to the Quays.
A legend, we would like to thank him so very much for his support and contribution to our markets and events and to Gloucester Quays. We will miss you Stephen and can’t wait to hear about your adventures and holidays!
