An appeal for information has been launched following an attempted burglary at a business premises in Hereford.

The attempted burglary occurred in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 14th June).

The incident occurred at a new business, called Sideline Pavilion – who currently operate a cafe from the cricket pavilion at Widemarsh Common.

The person tried to gain entry, but couldn’t get in. Damage however has been caused to fencing and the outside of the building.

Anyone with any information is advised to contact West Mercia Police on 101.

The owners are attempting to create a community space for all to enjoy and are urging those involved in anti-social behaviour to think twice before causing damage to the building.

Sideline is open every weekend from 10am-2pm, offering freshly brewed coffee and a variety of hot and cold drinks and snacks and ice creams plus their very popular cookies – their specialty!

Hot food will be coming soon too. Really though, the team want to become a space for the community and to bring people together.

They’re on the look out for local groups and clubs to use this inclusive space to meet, share ideas, and foster connections.

They have upcoming events over the summer plus future seasonal events and activities planned to keep an eye out for.
