The Air Ambulance has been called to a serious collision this lunchtime.
The incident has occurred on the A40 / A449 between Monmouth and Newport.
Gwent Police and The Welsh Ambulance Service are also in attendance.
From Gwent Police:
“The A40 at Raglan is currently closed southbound at the interchange with the A449.
“Diversions are in place which may cause congestion.
“Please avoid the area if possible and find alternative routes for your journey.”
There are significant delays affecting routes near Monmouth. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
