A man has died after an air ambulance was called to the Malvern Hills.
From West Mercia Police:
“Tragic incident on Malvern Hills – Malvern Response and Neighbourhood Police officers this afternoon responded to a report of a man unconscious on the Malvern Hills near to British Camp.
“The exact location was unclear at first, so officers climbed the hill from two locations in an attempt to reach the man as quickly as possible.
“Fire service and Ambulance were also contacted. Once the man had been located, officers commenced CPR and ensured other emergency services knew their exact location.
“An air ambulance was on scene with specialist medics, but unfortunately despite the best efforts of all those involved, the man who was in his late 70s could not be saved.
“Our thoughts are with the family who have been made aware by Police.”
