A protest is set to take place in Hereford city centre on Saturday.
Hereford has been named as one of the cities where strike action will take place, as part of ‘The Great British National Strike’ on Saturday 24th May.
A spokesperson for The Great British National Strike said:
“On 24th May 2025, we are launching a National Strike to oppose our governments decisions and lies.
“We are holding a “strike” in every city in the UK on the same day, at the same time (12PM)
“This will show Labour that we have the power, we have the strength and we have the ability to control what happens in our country.”
The group says its main aim is to oppose illegal immigration, ‘two tier justice’ and the decisions made that have affected farmers.
Your Herefordshire has approached West Mercia Police for a comment.
Protests are also planned to take place in Worcester and Gloucester.
