A brand-new initiative is bringing colour and energy to a Herefordshire town this summer, with eye-catching bunting, creative street art, and a host of special offers from local businesses.
The Summer Buzz campaign is the brainchild of a Ross-on-Wye resident who volunteered their time to help the town centre bounce back after it was affected by severe flooding last year. After consulting with local traders, the idea was taken to the town council as a way to make the most of the remaining funds from the Ross-on-Wye Recovery Strategy.
Running from May 1 through to August 31, Summer Buzz sees shops, cafés, and restaurants across the town offering exclusive deals to customers. The town council is also hosting special Summer Buzz markets to attract even more visitors and boost footfall.
We’re also challenging people to spend £20 with local businesses during the campaign, whether that’s shopping, dining, or treating yourself, to help “share the buzz” and keep Ross-on-Wye a lively, fun, and thriving place to work, shop, and spend time.
Throughout the campaign, the town is decked out with vibrant bunting and flags, creating a festive feel in the streets. Art Studio Ross has added to the atmosphere with colourful murals commissioned by the town council, including a striking one outside the Market House.
You can follow along and get involved via the Summer Buzz Ross-on-Wye Facebook page, where you’ll find regular giveaways, promotions, and updates.
Sharing these posts helps spread the word, supports local businesses, and encourages visitors from near and far to experience everything the town has to offer.
