West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Redditch yesterday (Monday 5 May).
The collision happened on Studley Road, at the junction with Howard Road on the Park Farm Industrial Estate in Redditch at around 11.35am and involved a white Honda 125 motorbike with three people on, and a white BMW X5 car.
A 15-year-old boy who was taken to hospital in a critical condition has sadly now died as a result of his injuries.
Three people have been arrested in relation to the collision:
A 50-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
A 15-year-old boy on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent.
An 18-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent.
Detective Sergeant Liam Bennett of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We’re in the early stages of our investigation and are working hard to understand what happened yesterday.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or may have dashcam footage of either the collision itself or the motorbike or car in the minutes before the collision. The motorbike had three people on, which is unusual, so I hope this will help to jog people’s memories.”
