Police have confirmed that a man has been arrested and two dogs have been seized following reports that a dog died following a dog attack in a village.

A spokesperson for Forest of Dean Neighbourhood Policing said:

“We are aware of an incident in the Malswick area on Friday 25th April involving a dog attack, sadly involving the death of a dog.

“As a result of information from the local community and Police enquiries, a 42 year old male has been arrested on suspicion of being the owner of dogs that were dangerously out of control in a public place.

“The two dogs have been seized and the male has been released under investigation following whilst enquires are ongoing.”
