There are reports that a 10-year-old boy was bitten by a dog when walking home from school in Hereford earlier this afternoon.

The incident is understood to have happened in the Roman Road area of Hereford, near Bobblestock.

One of the 10-year-olds parents told Your Herefordshire:

“My son was bitten by dog on his way home from school today in an unprovoked attack.

“It happened on the dog walking area on the Roman Road at approximately 3.45pm.

“The dog was on a lead (blue according to my son).

“The dog is white medium build and the owner a tall male with black/greying hair.

“It all happened so quickly so my son can’t give a clear description of what he was wearing.

“He was clearly distressed and the bloke walked off leaving him. If anyone was in the area or has any information we would be very grateful.”
