Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have provided an update on a collision that occurred on the A4110 near Canon Pyon overnight.

The collision involved small vehicles. West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the incident.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“We were called to reports of a two-vehicle head on collision on the A4110 Canon Pyon Road near Badnage Court in Herefordshire at around 9.30pm on Wednesday night.

“A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and released under investigation. A woman was assessed by an ambulance crew for minor injuries.

“The road was blocked by the collision and re-opened around 11pm.”

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Kington Fire Station was called at 22:07 on 30 April to make vehicles safe after an RTC involving small vehicles in Upper Parks, Canon Pyon.

“The incident involved two vehicles.

“One male driver was handed over to the care of the police and one female driver was handed over to the care of the ambulance service.

“Both vehicles were made safe and one removed from the road to enable the road to be reopened. The incident was marked as pending closure at 22:43.”
