Bromyard Pride has confirmed that its 2025 event has been cancelled due to ‘many factors’.
In a post on social media, Bromyard Pride said:
“Hi everyone, it is with great sadness that we write this, but we have made the hard decision to POSTPONE this year’s Bromyard Pride.
“There are many factors behind this decision.
“Bromyard Pride is a CIC and relies on donations, grants, and funding from local and national providers. Recently, accessing grants and funding has been difficult due to there being fewer opportunities available. As a result, we don’t have the funds to host Pride this year.
“Bromyard Pride directors are volunteers and have other commitments and responsibilities alongside their roles as directors.
“Due to several of the directors having ongoing personal and health needs, they are unable to commit time to ensuring Pride is as good as it can be.
“Volunteers who have given their time to support us are also only able to provide as much as they can offer, which we appreciate very much.
“We are going to be taking this year to work on our plans for next year so we can return with a Pride everyone will be proud of!
“Thank you all for your understanding.
“For transparency funds given to us by Bromyard Town Council and Bromyard Lions will be returned in full. Any other donations will be returned to those who donated or paid for a stall.
“Any funds in the bank account will only be used for Pride related activities and require two directors to sign off on use.”
