After six enjoyable seasons looking after the members of the Executive Suite at Hereford FC Nigel Marks (left) and Hereford FC director Mike Langford (right) will be hosting their final game in the Executive Club at Edgar Street this Saturday when the Bulls entertain Scunthorpe in a crunch game in National League North.

They spoke to Matt Healey ahead of their final game on the 26th April in what could see Paul Caddis’s team secure a play off place.

Mike told Matt.

“Alongside Ian Entwistle we have enjoyed the friendships and banter with the members throughout the highs and lows of supporting our Club. Our successful raffle has provided half time entertainment as well as providing many thousands of pounds for the Club, as well as the Under 18 Community team and the Women’s team. The generosity of the members has been immense game after game and much appreciated”

Nigel who is a familiar face around the city after previously being the manager of F Hinds the jewellers for 25 years said “We decided a couple of months ago that this season would be our last, it’s been brilliant looking after the supporters in the Executive Suite, and whatever happens on Saturday the club is in a far better position than it was two years ago. The football has been entertaining again and the crowds have been brilliant. I just hope we can get a positive result and reach the play offs”

Matt Healey who is also the matchday announcer at Edgar Street added “Mike and Nigel are a brilliant double act and are a hilarious combination, we have had so many laughs over the years and it will be strange not seeing them at the front reception of the executive club from next season. I wish them both well”

Nigel and Mike have been willing volunteers since Hereford FC was formed back in 2015 and in the latter years they were carpet cleaners, stock takers in the shop and kept the showers in both changing rooms in good order. They have decided that with a combined age of 150 years they should for once actually see the start and end of a game so will be reverting to a spectator role next season.
