A member of the public has urged dog owners to remain vigilant following suspicious behaviour in one area of Herefordshire.
In a post on Ross-on-Wye Noticeboard, a lady called Helen said:
“Dog owners be careful It may be something or may not but my husband was just out walking our dog along Cantilupe Road.
“He’d stopped to pick up a poo when a black transit type van slowed down and the person driving was looking at our dog.
“The van then stopped and another person opened the sliding back door, while also looking at the dog.
“My husband felt uncomfortable about their behaviour and wondered if they were considering snatching our dog.
“When he made a point of returning their look, they drove off and through town.
“Like I say, it could be innocent but it did seem an odd thing to do.”
