A man has been jailed for life for the murder of his grandmother.
Sam Croston was today jailed for life with a minimum of 30 years following his conviction earlier this year for the murder of Pamela Croston.
Officers were called to an address in Everdon Road in September 2023 after Pamela’s emergency pendant had been activated.
When they arrived they found Sam Croston sat on the ground near his grandmother, who was seriously injured.
Pamela was taken to hospital where she sadly died from her injuries.
Sam Croston was arrested and charged with her murder, despite telling officers he had no memory of the attack.
Despite this denial, it was clear Pamela’s injuries were deliberate.
At Warwick Crown Court on 15 April, 37-year-old Croston, of no fixed address, was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison following his conviction on 24 February.
Our thoughts are with Pamela’s family at this time.
