The owner of Pontins holiday parks has been charged with corporate manslaughter after the death of a Herefordshire woman at the resort.
A total of 18 people were injured at Pontins Brean Sands in Somerset when a section of the air conditioning duct collapsed in February 2019.
Among them was grandmother Wendy Jones, 68. She spent the final six months of her life in hospital before she died on August 4, 2019.
Wendy had worked at the Herefordshire Tenants Federation Office in Widemarsh Street, Hereford, and was also very well known in Ross-on-Wye where her funeral service was held at the town’s Baptist Church.
Pontins’ parent company, Britannia Jinky Jersey, is expected to appear in court next month.
In addition, a 58-year-old man from Lancashire has been charged with an offence under Section 3 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
