A three month closure notice has been issued to a Herefordshire shop, at Hereford Magistrates Court.

From West Mercia Police:

“Further to our previous messages regarding our joint working with trading standards, where various illegal items were found and seized from the Vape shop in Ross-On-Wye.

“Today a full three month closure order had been authorised by Hereford Magistrates court. Meaning the shop will not be allowed to trade during this time.”

Earlier Update:

A Herefordshire shop has been closed with immediate effect following a visit from West Mercia Police and Trading Standards.

From West Mercia Police:

“This morning Ross-on-Wye Safer Neighbourhood Team, assisted Trading Standards with a visit to ROSS VAPE SHOP, BROOKEND STREET, ROSS-ON-WYE.

“Counterfeit cigarettes were located, where by Trading Standards put a closing order on the shop.

“Closing it with immediate effect to be presented to Hereford Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, for a more permanent closure order.

“Counterfeit cigarettes can be lethal. They also cost UK tax payers millions of pounds of revenue each year.

“Does your child vape? Beware of such establishments who draw children in to fulfil their addiction.”
