A police cordon is in place on a path next to the River Wye in Hereford this morning.
The cordon is in place on the path near Golden Post, in the Hunderton / Belmont area of Hereford this morning.
It is understood that officers were called to reports of an incident overnight.
West Mercia Police officers are at the scene.
A member of the public has also reported seeing a forensics team in the area.
Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to use an alternative route.
