Four people have been taken to hospital following a serious collision on the A4103 Hereford to Worcester Road at Bransford on Sunday evening.

The road was closed for several hours, with the air ambulance also called to the incident.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:

“We were called to reports of a collision involving a van and a car on the A4103 in Bransford at 6.03pm yesterday.

“Four ambulances, two paramedic officers, the Trust’s Critical Care Car, the a BASICS doctor from the Mercia Accident Rescue Service and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.

“On arrival we discovered four patients. A woman, from the car, was found to have suffered serious injuries and after receiving specialist trauma care at the scene was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.

“A man, also from the car was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to the same hospital by land ambulance.

“Two further men, from the van, were also treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Worcester Royal Hospital by land ambulance.”
