There has been a recent rise in phone snatchings across Cardiff.
Officers are investigating these incidents to identify the thieves but please be vigilant and aware of your surroundings.
There have been reported incidents in the city centre, Roath, Cathays, Cardiff Bay, and Riverside – During one incident, the victim was wearing headphones so did not hear the suspect approach.
Criminals often use bikes to snatch mobile phones from people, particularly at busy locations. Often victims are approached from behind while talking or texting on phones.
While most thefts happen between six and ten at night, criminals operate during the day too, so always look out for what’s going on around you.
