Research from Lovehoney has unveiled the UK’s most enthusiastic dildo buyers – and Hereford is leading the charge! Who knew these quiet corners of Britain were hiding such big secrets?
Lovehoney’s latest sales data from its 2025 Sex Mapreveals that customers in Hereford purchase the biggest dildos in the UK, with an average of 7.13 inches.
Whether it’s something in the water or just a love for going large, these findings might surprise you!
The ‘Top 5’ locations for purchasing the biggest dildos include:
- Hereford: 7.13 inches
- Jersey: 7.12 inches
- Inverness: 7.10 inches
- Twickenham: 7.09 inches
- Hemel Hampstead: 7.07 inches

Lovehoney’s highly anticipated Sex Map uses site data from the last year to establish which regions, towns, and cities are investing the most in sexual wellness, weighted against their population.
This data was then used to rank the horniest towns and cities in the UK, and to our surprise, taking the number one spot was the town of Enniskillen in Northern Ireland. With a population of around 14,000, the historic area ranked 1st out of 907 regions for number of total purchases per person, 3rd for bondage gear, and 6th for roleplay equipment – with the costume of choice being a secretary outfit.
In England, Carterton in Oxfordshire took the top spot for the horniest town in the country, while Amesbury in Wiltshire and Towcester in Northamptonshire took second and third. For Wales, Tonyrefail and Aberystwyth were top 2, while Forres and Dunbar filled the spots in Scotland.
Outside of these sexiness rankings, some areas have some standout stats that were worthy of a special mention…
Birmingham took home the Best Dressed Award, buying more costumes per person than any other region in the UK. Meanwhile, Carlisle won the Pulses Racing Award for being the primary customers of nurses outfits, and Perth earned the Authority Awardfor buying the most police costumes.
Elsewhere in Scotland, the Shetland Islands are staying safe with the Safe Sex Award due to them proportionally buying the most condoms, as well as – on an unrelated note – buying the highest amount of realistic vagina toys.
Going back to England, Swindon took the title of Most Otherworldly Region thanks to its penchant for monster dildos, indulging in fantasy of a different kind. On the complete opposite end of the scale, Dorchester won the Most Potential Award due to being the region that bought the fewest sex toys – however it’s also the region that bought the highest amount of sex-related books per person. Much like the award implies, there is definitely some potential there.
Putting competition aside, the UK as a whole bought its fair share of products last year. A grand total of 422,840 inches of dildos were shipped, equating to around 111 Big Bens worth of silicone, plastic, and metal little Bens. As a nation, we also bought 35,000kg of lube, enough to fill 28 four-person hot tubs, with cherry coming out as the most popular flavour followed by strawberry and passion fruit.
As well as showcasing a heatmap which reveals the regions buying the most toys, the largest and widest dildos and the most lube, the 2025 edition of the Map also comes with a feature allowing you to compare how your own town or city stacks up against another, displaying their overall sexiness ranking and how they compare in a whole host of categories such as vibrators, bondage, and butt plugs, as well as showing the most popular costume for both.
