It’s been a busy few days for crews from Peterchurch Fire Station in Herefordshire, who have taken to social media to show what they’ve been called out to.

19/02/25 18:49:

A rescue pump called to a collision involving a car and item on the B4352 carriageway which inflicted damage to the sump and caused oil to be spread over 300m.

Crews made the vehicle safe, cleaned up what oil they could and requested highways to attend place absorbent granules on to the road.

21/02/25 23:49:

Crews alerted to attend a fire in the open on the B4352 in Madley.

Extinguished the fire using one hose-reel and the liaised with the police before heading back to station to clean the truck down ready for the next call.

24/02/25:

Weekly training involved operational checks, introduction to new communications app and breathing apparatus checks.
