Police confirm that no arrests have so far been made following reports of a man carrying a weapon near Holmer School in Hereford this afternoon.
An update from Police said:
Officers were called to Holmer Road in Hereford at around 3.10pm today (14 January), following a report that a man was in possession of what was believed to be a knife.
Searches and enquiries in the area have been carried out and no one has been located. No threats were made to any members of the public.
Police will remain in the area and anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to an officer.
