Motorists are being advised to remain extra cautious on the roads this morning, after temperatures dropped to -9c in parts of Herefordshire overnight.

Herefordshire Council’s Highways teams have been out throughout the evening and overnight, gritting roads across the county, but conditions remain tricky on many routes.

Your Herefordshire has been informed of icy conditions on the road between Rotherwas and Holme Lacy Village, as well as the A4110 Canon Pyon Road between Canon Pyon and Hereford.

Some advice from Herefordshire Highways:

‘Our gritting teams are working around the clock treating the roads however some areas may still be icy.

‘Take extra care if you’re heading out in the morning and have a look at our winter driving tips below.’
