Upcoming work to be carried out on the A40 between Wilton (Ross-on-Wye) and Whitchurch in Herefordshire.

Ross-on-Wye Town Council have been informed by National Highways that their maintenance contractor, Colas, has identified small sections of the carriageway in need of resurfacing.

The completed work will provide a smoother and safer journey for all road users.

They will work overnight on Friday 10 January, between 9pm and 6am. During this time, there will be a full closure of the A40 westbound carriageway between Wilton and Whitchurch.

They apologise for the short notice and the inconvenience this may cause.

During closures, emergency vehicles will be granted access.

They will make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. They always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may lead to changes.
