One person has sadly died after a collision involving car and a lorry near Hereford this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 1.10am to the A4103 in Yarkhill and sent an ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman says: “On arrival, crews found both vehicles on fire.

“Sadly, it quickly became clear the driver of the car could not be saved and awas confirmed dead at the scene.

“The driver of the lorry, a man, was already out of the vehicle when crews arrived.

“He was treated for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and conveyed to Hereford County Hospital.”
