We will be making customer guarantee payments to customers who are eligible under the Standards of Performance Regulations. There is no requirement to make a claim.
We will be collating information about all the power outages experienced during the storm period. This will provide us with the information to assess eligibility for customer guarantee payments under the Standards of Performance. This normally takes 10 working days. However, this process may take longer during due to the impact of the storm and the number of customers affected. We would kindly request you check our website and social media for updates on this.
All eligible customers will receive a letter and a customer guarantee payment based on the eligibility criteria set out by the Standards of Performance.
For a category 1 storm the payment is £85 for power cuts lasting more than 24 hours (from time of notification) and £40 for each complete 6 hour period thereafter. For a category 2 storm the payment is £85 for power cuts lasting more than 48 hours (from time of notification) and £40 for each complete 6 hour period thereafter.
