Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are currently responding to reports of a bus fire on a busy route in Herefordshire this morning.
The incident has occurred near Mortimer’s Cross.
As a result, traffic is building up on the A4110.
West Mercia Police are at the scene, alongside Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Kingsland and Leominster Fire Stations – were called at 08:02 to a large vehicle on fire in Mortimers Cross.
“A bus was well alight with the fire fought by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using one hosereel jet.
“The occupants of the bus had been evacuated before the arrival of the fire service and the bus driver is arranging a further bus for onward travel.
“The incident is ongoing.”
