West Mercia Police have provided an update on a collision that occurred on the A49 at Hope-under-Dinmore this lunchtime.
The road was temporarily blocked and traffic soon built up in the area.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“We received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A49 at Hope-under-Dinmore, at around 11.55am this morning (27 November).
“Officers and ambulance crew are on scene.
“Two people have been reported to have minor injuries. No arrests have been made.”
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:
“A passing by ambulance crew came across an RTC on the A49 in Leominster at 12.01pm.
“We currently have two ambulances at the scene.”
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Leominster and Ledbury Fire Stations – were called at 12:02 to an RTC in Dinmore.
“The incident involved a van and a car with no persons trapped.
“Two casualties were handed over to the care of the ambulance service who attended along with police.
“The A49 was blocked in both directions.
“The incident was marked as pending closure at 12:48.”
