The Air ambulance has been called to a serious collision between a car and a lorry in Herefordshire this morning.

The collision has occurred on the A4110 Canon Pyon Road.

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and the Air Ambulance were all called to the incident.

The road is likely to remain closed for several hours. 

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“We received a call around 8:40am this morning (26 November) with a report of a collision on Canon Pyon Road, Herefordshire. 

“Officers are currently at the collision which involves a car and lorry.

“The road will likely be closed for some time.”

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:

“Three Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Hereford, Leominster and Peterchurch Fire Stations – were called at 08:40 on 26 November to an RTC involving a large vehicle on Canon Pyon Road, Hereford.

“The incident involved a car and an HGV with one female casualty medically trapped in the car. 

“The casualty was extricated from the car and handed over to the air ambulance, who attended along with ambulance (log 1361) and police (log 71i). 

“The A4110 was closed between the Three Elms Pub and Canon Pyon. The incident was marked as pending closure at 10:14.”
