Armed Police were reportedly called to a pub in Hereford this evening.

Members of the public reported seeing armed officers enter The Kings Fee (Wetherspoons) on Commercial Road at around 7.30pm.

There was a significant response with several officers and Police cars seen outside.

A man was then seen being put in the back of a Police van shortly afterwards.

People were temporarily denied access to the pub, but the incident appeared to be dealt with swiftly.

Commercial Road remained open and pubs and other businesses on the street were allowed to remain open as normal.

We’ve approached West Mercia Police for further information.
