A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.

The charges are in relation to a collision on the A417, Burley Gate in Herefordshire, that happened on the 23 September 2022 when a 59-year-old man sadly lost his life.

At around 4.25pm on a Friday afternoon, a motorcycle and two other vehicles, a white Fiat box van and a white Mini Cooper, were involved in a collision on the A417 between Burley Gate and Maund Bryan in Herefordshire.

The rider of the grey Triumph Street Triple motorcycle, a 59-year-old man, suffered significant injuries and while every effort was made by paramedics to save him, he very sadly died at the scene.

Joshua Bayliss, 23, of Oldfield, Bridgnorth, is due to appear at Hereford Magistrates’ Court on 6 November this year.
