A man has died following a collision involving a HGV and a pedestrian in Ross On Wye yesterday (Wednesday).

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 5.38pm to the A40 in Whitchurch, Ross On Wye. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midland Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found a man who was the pedestrian being cared for by bystanders.

“Unfortunately, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased by ambulance staff at the scene.”

“The driver of the lorry did not require treatment from ambulance staff.”
