Wye Valley NHS Trust has issued an important message to all patients visiting Hereford County Hospital.

Extensive refurbishment work is set to take place.

A statement shared by Wye Valley NHS Trust said:

“From Friday 6th September, our Emergency Department will be undergoing extensive refurbishment as a result of this, the department will be moved to temporary accommodation.

“ED reception and waiting room will remain unaffected and temporary signage will be in place.

“Please do not to attend the department unless absolutely necessary. 

“If you need medical help/advice use NHS 111 online or contact your local pharmacy. 

“If you have a life threatening condition call 999.”
