Ross-on-Wye Town Council are delighted to announce a new Town Centre Cleansing Operative has joined the team.
You may have spotted our new team member, Neal Cawthorne (known as Corky), out and about around the heart of the town already.
Corky will be providing additional resources to all areas of the Town Council, in particular the Town Centre and the surrounding area ensuring that the cleanliness of our Town is maintained to a high standard.
He will be a visible presence in the town from Tuesdays to Saturdays.
The Town Centre Cleansing Operative will have specified daily routes to make sure that standards are boosted in areas of the town centre, this will include on-going deeper cleansing of shopping areas and town âgatewaysâ.
Operations Manager, Duncan Rowe, said: âNeal (Corky) is a welcome addition to the hard-working Amenities Team that help keep the Town and greenspaces clean and tidy. Corky will be working in the Town Centre to improvement the cleanliness, build good working relations with shop owners, members of the public, traders and being a visible presence. His work will lift the Town Centre and be a proactive approach to improving the âHeart of Rossâ and drive standards and quality.â
The Town Council has also seen a new Community Development Officer (CDO), Jane Gardiner, join the team.
Following Charlotte Reynoldsâ change in role to Deputy Clerk, Jane took over as CDO at the beginning of June. Jane brings a wealth of administration knowledge, as well as a passion for the community of Ross-on-Wye.
Deputy Clerk, Charlotte Reynolds said: âJane has settled in well to the team and has shown a keen interest to be involved in all aspects of the Council. I know she will fully embrace the Community Development Officer position and her passion for the town will shine through every aspect of the roleâ
