West Mercia Police have issued an alert following suspicious activity near Hereford.
The incident happened in the Twyford Common area near Hereford.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“We would like to make you aware of a potentially suspicious male in the area of TWYFORD COMMON asking for donations for a charity.
“He was described as a white male, slim build, approximately 5’10, with dark hair, wearing orange shorts and a blue top.
“The male was knocking on residents doors, asking for money for a charity.
“The name of this charity is unknown and it appears he was not wearing a lanyard or any identification to show what charity he was collecting for.
“It was said that he was carrying leaflets with a soldier on the front, and was getting a bit agitated when speaking to people.
“If you know someone who is vulnerable, or does not want cold callers at their address.
“Please ensure to keep vigilant and report any further suspicious incidents.”
