A 16-year-old girl is in hospital after a suspected stabbing in Gloucester last night, Sunday 28 January.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident and he remains in police custody.
Police were called to an address in Kingsway, Gloucester shortly after 8pm with a report a male had stabbed a girl and then fled the address.
Members of the public helped at the scene and emergency services attended.
A teenage boy was arrested from a different address in Gloucester a short while later.
The victim is in hospital being treated for injuries which at this stage are not thought to be life threatening.
There will be a visible police presence in the area while house to house and other enquiries take place throughout the day.
Officers have said they are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
