A Herefordshire pub is closing for ten days, before it reopens with a brand new exciting menu for you to try!
The Hope and Anchor at Ross-on-Wye had already planned to close next week for a well earned rest following Christmas and New Year, but due to the flooding situation, it will now be closed from today.
A post on social media this morning confirmed the update:
“We were due to close for a week on Monday 8th January for a well-earned rest after Christmas, however, due to the flooding, we will now be closed from today.
“While this is a little earlier than planned, this will allow us time to clear up and still have a bit of time to rest following the busy Christmas and New Year period.
“We do apologise for any inconvenience this has caused, but we look forward to seeing everyone when we re-open on Monday 15th January, when we will be launching our brand-new menu!
“Thank you for your understanding and we’ll see you on the 15th!

“Note: This closure applies to the pub, The Hut and The Pavilion – Ross On Wye.”
