Works to repair Lugwardine Bridge are due to begin on Monday (11 September).
Temporary traffic signals have been in place on the A438 since a vehicle collided with the bridge at the end of May.
The bridge is a Grade II listed structure which crosses over the River Lugg Site of Special Scientific Interest, meaning liaison and written agreement with building conservation officers and other authorities such as Natural England and the Environment Agency is required before the repairs can be carried out.
Discussions with these authorities have been ongoing since early June and the necessary permissions have now been granted, meaning works are able to begin.
It is anticipated that the works will take around three weeks to complete.
