A domestic abuser has been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for four counts of actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
Gregg Mosedale, 32, was convicted at Worcester Crown Court on Monday for assaulting his former partner over a four-month period.
He was also handed a ten-year restraining order with regards to his victim.
The court heard he caused his ex-partner bruising by kicking her in the torso on one occasion, and that on two further occasions he repeatedly punched and kicked her causing bruising to arms, legs and black eyes and a split lip by elbowing her in the face.
Mosedale was also found guilty of actual bodily harm on an occasion where he kicked his victim’s legs from out under her in a playing field, dragged her by her hair and punched her to the chin resulting in bruising.
The criminal damage conviction was for breaking two light switches in her flat by punching them.
Worcester Crown Court heard Mosedale has a history of domestic violence abuse with previous partners.
The judge commented he was a danger to women and, and to any woman who entered a relationship with him.
Detective Inspector James Bamber, of Worcester Protecting Vulnerable People team, said: “I welcome the sentence passed to Mosedale and hope this sends a message out to all victims and survivors of domestic abuse that we will support them.
“I hope the bravery of his victim will encourage others who may find themselves in a similar position to come forward and report them to us.
“Both we, the police, and the courts take any reports of domestic abuse very seriously.
“Anybody who contacts us will be listened to and anyone concerned about a loved one or themselves, should call us too.”
