Searches have continued of the river since Saturday morning unfortunately the teams involved have not yet found the missing man. The search of the River Wye will continue with specialist support.
His family continue to be supported by officers.
The three men arrested men aged 34, 28 and 24-years-old have now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The men were arrested when new information was received that the missing man had been involved in an altercation.
Police received a 999 call at 12.05am on Saturday 29 July reporting that a man in his 20’s had fallen into the river near to the Victoria Bridge in Hereford, emergency services were immediately deployed to the area to search for the missing man.
Detective Chief Inspector Ross Jones said: “This is an awful time for the man’s family, our officers continue to support them. The searches are continuing to find the missing man, while they continue our investigation team would still like to hear from anyone has any information that could help them with their enquiries. I would urge them to get in contact with us as the information they provide could be crucial in piecing together what happened in this tragic incident.”
